Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/2019 of sexually abusing a 7-year-old in about 1973-1974 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lancaster NY. Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis (Williamsville NY) ran the parish school, per the 1974 Official Catholic Directory.

Named in a lawsuit filed in 1/2020 under the NY Child Victims Act by an 87-year-old man who claims Sisters Mary and Veronica, as well as Rev. Edmund O'Connor, sexually abused him in the early 1940s at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish and school in Silver Creek when he was in third through eighth grades. The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis ran the school.
