Assignment Records of Accused Priests
Who Have Worked in the Chicago Archdiocese

Chicagoland VOTF
October 11, 2010

Chicagoland VOTF has been working on a project to assemble and analyze the work histories of accused priests assigned in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Chicagoland VOTF used BishopAccountability.org's Database of Accused Priests and Accused Priests Who Worked in the Archdiocese of Chicago, but Chicagoland VOTF's work, under the leadership of Robert Kopp, goes well beyond BishopAccountability.org's previous efforts. Various versions of the Chicago archdiocese's own list of accused priests are available on BishopAccountability.org's page devoted to Dioceses That Have Released Lists of Accused Priests.

As a first step in providing access to Chicagoland VOTF's results, BishopAccountability.org posts below the raw data created by Chicagoland VOTF during their important project. Chicagoland VOTF will be releasing more information and analysis relating to this project.

Note: These assignment histories are works in progress. Please contact Chicagoland VOTF with corrections and suggestions. Chicagoland VOTF makes no representation regarding the truth of the allegation that is the basis for a priest's inclusion on this spreadsheet. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements.
