LAKELAND -- A church volunteer who was the target of an investigation into allegations of abuse has turned himself into police.
40 year old Marshal Seymour surrendered to police late Friday night.

Seymour was a volunteer with the First Baptist Church in the Mall in Lakeland.
Police say he met his victims, who were middle or high school aged children, through the church and engaged in illegal sexual acts with them.
Police say he often paid his victims money in order to keep them quiet.
Police say one of his victims, now an adult, came forward last month and reported the abuse to police.
Seymour has been charged with: Unlawful Sexual Activity, Tampering with Or Fabricating Physical Evidence, and 3 counts of Using a Child in Sexual Performance.
