Missouri law requires school officials, clergy and others with authority over children, to report any suspicion of abuse. That’s why a Jackson County judge ruled that Bishop Finn must stand trial for allegedly not reporting to police when he was alerted to possible inappropriate behavior by Father Ratigan involving children.
