Catholic Church apologizes to victims, families, society

Santiago, Dominican Republic.- The archbishop of Santiago on Wednesday apologized to the victims, their families and society for the reported cases of children abused by members of the Catholic Church.

“We refer to the statements made by the Archbishop of Santiago and La Vega Bishop Monsignor Antonio Camilo Gonzalez, who states, we apologize to those affected, their families, society and the common people for the times of the bad example and the lack of a consistent witness as servants of Jesus Christ, we have offended,” said a statement to the media.
