BURLINGTON, Vt. –
A former Vermont man who was studying to be a priest is accused of trying to have sex with infants.
Investigators say Joel Wright — who now lives in Ohio — traveled to San Diego with the intent of meeting with a trafficker — who would take him to Mexico where he would adopt or own a child — and then have sex with the infant.
Wright — who was in seminary school for a semester — has since been suspended.
