Pell accuser first aired concerns four years ago

A Torquay man who made explosive allegations about Cardinal George Pell exposing himself to children first contacted police about the incident almost four years ago, before the child abuse royal commission started.

And the Ballarat swimming pool at the centre of separate historic child abuse allegations levelled against Cardinal Pell by two other men has been the subject of a police appeal for information about alleged sex crimes in the late 1970s.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton confirms Cardinal George Pell is under investigation for a series of child sex abuse allegations.

In an interview with the ABC’s 7.30 program on Wednesday night, Les Tyack​ accused Cardinal Pell of exposing himself to three young boys in the Torquay Surf Life Saving Club change rooms in 1986-87.
