Vasa of the Diocese of Santa Rosa describes the statement he released over the weekend of the thirty-eight names accused of abuse of children, the articles of what the church has done over the past few decades in relation to these cases, and the invitation to victims to come forward. He also speaks to the status of the Catholic Church today, whether he has heard from any of the people from SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) and how they can prevent these types of abuse in the future:
