The Vatican’s doctrinal chief says his office is working to “raise awareness and prevent” the use of Catholic spirituality as a means of abuse as in the cases of Marko Rupnik, Jean Vanier, and others. This comes as sex abuse survivors have raised concerns about Cardinal Fernández’s book, Mystical Passion, which could be used by predators to facilitate abuse.
