A former youth pastor accused of sexually abusing young girls appeared in Lewis County Circuit Court Wednesday morning.
The case against John Radcliff, II, was continued again until October.
Radcliff was indicted in July 2024 for sexually abusing multiple young girls when they were just 3 and 4 years old until they were around 12 years old — many of whom are his nieces. He is accused of making the girls, who are now adults, perform sexual acts on him and sexually assaulting them in other ways throughout their childhoods from 1987 through 2003.
In November 2024, Radcliff was arrested and charged with over 100 sex charges against children in four North Central West Virginia counties — Lewis, Harrison, Braxton and Nicholas.
Radcliff’s ex-wife, Kathy Radcliff, was charged with accessory in the case after victims reported that she knew about the abuse. She also appeared in court Wednesday and had her case continued, as well, as their cases are related, officials said.
During court, it was pointed out that Kathy and John are now officially divorced.
Both cases are continued until October. A pre-trial is set for October 2nd, jury selection is set for October 19 and the trial is set for October 20th.
