Fr. Joseph C. Ansaldi
Monsignor. Educator, parish priest, chaplain. Died 11/12/2015. Named publicly as credibly accused by the Archdiocese on its list 4/26/2019. Claims against Ansaldi were eligible for the IRCP. Accused in an 8/2015 lawsuit, along with Revs. Eugene Mangan and James Keehan, staff member Bill Finley and other lay counselors, of sexually abusing a boy who resided at a Mount Loretto orphanage 1953-1967. Accused in another lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy, ages 15-16, in 1984-1985 while principal of St. Joseph by the Sea High School on Staten Island. The boy was a student. The suit settled in 2020 in the mid-five figures.
