Bailey was a St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick NY chaplain. He would allegedly pick the boy up from his school, Our Lady Queen of Peace, in West Milford and spend the day with him at the hospital. The abuse allegedly included oral sex and anal rape, and took place at the hospital facility, in the chapel and in Bailey's residence at the hospital. Bailey referred to the boy as his grandson.

Garisto's accuser claims that the priest started grooming him when he was in grade school and that when he left the high school after sophomore year, Garisto pursued him at his father's house in PA. Arrested 1/27/2022 on charges of sexually abusing a boy in the Philadelphia area 1995-2002, beginning when the boy was age 10. Garisto owned a home in Fishtown at the time in question. In 3/2022 the charges were withdrawn due to the statute of limitations. Arrested again in Philadelphia 5/4/2022, charged with the sexual abuse of a boy starting when the boy was a 15-year-old altar server at St. Peter's in Poughkeepsie in 2006, and ending in 2010. Family filed suit against the NY Archdiocese. Pleaded no contest in 6/2023. Sentenced 11/6/2023 to 11 and a half months to 23 months in prison and 4 years' probation.

Further, the music teacher allegedly took the boy to Church of the Sacred Heart in Yonkers to participate in a brass quartet, and was there sexually abused by three Capuchin Franciscan monks. Hoefner's accuser was one of dozens of Horace Mann alumni alleging abuse at the school by staff members.

Vatican ordered a new investigation in 10/2018. A third allegation was investigated in 1/2019. Laicized 2/13/2019. Accused in 10/2019 of abusing at least 7 boys 1970-1990. In a 1/2019 letter to Alumni, Regis High School in NYC officials named former faculty members who had been accused of abuse of minors, including Rippon. Per the letter, Rippon's case did not meet the standards to be included on the Jesuits' Northeast Province list of those with credible allegations against them. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 6/2021 under the NY Child Victims act of sexually abusing a boy, age 15, in 1969 at Regis High School in NYC. The boy was a student. The abuse allegedly occurred about three times in Rippon's office. Rippon worked at Regis 1967-1983 and 1984-1985. Prior to ordination he taught at St. Xavier High School in NYC 1957-1960. He died in 1986.
Fr. Robert T. Ritchie
Monsignor. Rector of St. Patrick's Cathedral beginning in 2006. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 7/21 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a child about 50 years previously. Ritchie denied the allegations.

Established Covenant House in Greenwich Village in the early 1970s as a shelter and foundation for homeless and troubled youth. Complaints of sexual abuse of teen boys date back as far as the 1950s. Complaints documented in book, "Broken Covenant" by C. Sennott, 1992. Civil suit. Forced to resign in 1990 after allegations. Refused counseling, resigned from the order in 1991, reportedly joined an overseas diocese. Died in 1999. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 7/21 in Manhattan of sexually abusing a boy, ages 13-16, beginning in 1981. His accuser, who was a Covenant House resident, said that Ritter gave him gifts and clothing, and that the abuse included forcing him to have sex with other men, including Covenant House donors.

Fr. Esteban Rodriguez
From Puerto Rico. Among four priests at St. Simon Stock Parish accused of giving a boy, age 16, money for sex between 1/1996 and 8/1998. The boy and his family allegedly reported the abuse to the Archdiocese and Order in 1999; the boy moved out-of-state after receiving harrassing anonymous phone calls. The A civil suit filed in 2000 was settled prior to 2002. Rodriguez have continued active ministry in Puerto Rico.

Joined the Salesians in 1958, ordained in 1966. Accused in a 12/2013 suit of sexual abuse of a boy, age 14, at the Salesian minor seminary in Goshen NY, where Rooney taught theology and physics and was the financial administrator. The alleged abuse included removing the boy's clothing, touching and fondling the boy's buttocks and genitals skin-on-skin, and masturbating on the boy. The boy was also allegedly abused by Rooney on a school bus trip from Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston to Sacred Heart Retreat House in Ipswich. The complaint also alleged abuse of the boy in 1978 by Fr Joseph Maffei SDB and in 1981 by Bro Alan Scheneman SDB. Rooney was listed on the website of Boston attorney Garabedian 10/31/2014 after a settlement during the year previous. The Salesians confirmed a monetary settlement had been reached. Rooney worked in the Boston, Gary, Paterson, New Orleans, New York, Newark, and Birmingham (arch)dioceses. Laicized in 2008. Lawsuit filed in 2/2020 in NJ. Included on the Salesians list in 3/2020. New suit in 3/2022, also with claims against Sr. Alvin Marie Hagan, SSND. Rooney was living in 3/2022 in Arizona.
