Fr. Eusebius Arundel
Ordained for the Franciscans in 1946. From 1949 and continuing his entire priesthood, Arundel worked at Siena College in Loudenville, NY (located in the Diocese of Albany). He was a specialist in remedial reading for children, as well as in vision conservation and development. He was also a director of guidance and associate professor of education at the college, and he wrote four books for children about St. Francis. Arundel died in 1968, at age 48. His name is included on the Holy Name Province Franciscans’ 10/2021 list of those with substantiated allegations against them. (No details were provided as to when or where the abuse occurred. Placing him in the New York archdiocese, where the Province is based.)
