Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham Manor pastor 1979-1991. Pastor of Blessed Sacrament on Staten Island 1991-2004. Named monsignor in 1995. Held prominent positions in the archdiocese. Retired in 2004. Accused via the IRCP program in 2018 of past abuse of a minor, deemed credible and substantiated by the Lay Review Board. On archdiocese’s list 4/26/19. Removed from ministry. Cardinal Dolan reportedly recommended to the Vatican’s CDF dismissal of the allegation. In 9/20 the CDF concluded that the allegation did not have “the semblance of truth.” Boyle died 3/13/21, age 91.
