Fr. John Joseph Brady
Monsignor. Navy chaplain, parish priest. Died in 1950. Per a 2/2004 news article, a woman said she was sexually abused every Sunday from 1944-1948 at ages 7-11 by Brady, a former pastor at St. Catherine’s of Genoa in Manhattan. She said Brady also abused her sister and other girls. Claims were included in a lawsuit filed 2/26/2004 by the woman and 14 other victims of abuse by 11 priests. Included on the archdiocese’s 4/26/19 list of credibly accused. Claims against Brady eligible were for the IRCP.
