Fr. Edmund F. Fogarty
Monsignor. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/19 of sexually abusing a girl at the The Mission of the Immaculate Virgin at Mount Loretto orphanage. His accuser, who was a resident of the orphanage, said Fogarty would force her to have sex, beginning when she was about age 11. She said she was also sexually abused by Sisters Helen, Joachim, and Georgine. Fogarty died 8/2/96. Per his obituary, he “devoted almost his entire career to the cause of children.”
