High school teacher, boys’ camp director, parish priest. Salesians’ Eastern US Provincial 1985-1991. Worked in MA, IN, NY, LA, FL, OH. Removed from St. Petersburg FL Catholic HS in 2002 after an allegation of sexually harassing a girl. Active at Marian Shrine, Stony Point NY by 2005. Order settled in the 2000s with a man alleging rape at age 14 on a trip to Rome in 1975. In 8/2009 the Order announced a settlement with three men alleging abuse in the late 1970s at Salesian Junior Seminary in Goshen, NY. Three others then came forward. At least 16 civil suits. Arrested in 8/2012 in NY, charged with the rape of a boy, ages 9-10, in 1981-1982 at an Ipswich MA camp. Convicted in 11/2014. Sentenced to 8-10 years in prison. Convicted in 8/15 of abuse of a boy, ages 6-8, at the camp in the early 1980s; sentenced to another 8-10 years’ prison, to run concurrently with the term he was already serving. Added to the New Orleans archdiocese’s list 12/2019 (AP asked why it was missing). Added in 2/2020 to Columbus diocese’s list. Included on the Salesians list in 3/2020. Died 4/2/2020.
