Fr. Joseph Baker
“Fr. Jack.” Pastor of St. Perpetua in Waterford Township when removed in 6/2019 pending an investigation into allegations that he sexually abused a child early in his ministry. Arrested 7/8/2019, charged with “sexual-conduct penetration with a person under the age of 13.” His accuser claimed Baker raped him in a storage closet at St. Mary’s in Wayne in 2004, when he was a second-grader preparing for First Communion. Convicted in 10/2022. Sentenced 3/1/2023 to 3-15 years in prison.
