Fr. Albert Chavez
Monsignor. Accused in a 10/2018 lawsuit of the sexual abuse, including rape, of an altar boy 1972-1977 in Peralta, when Chavez was pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Chavez allegedly would ply the boy with alcohol. Transferred to the Diocese of Las Cruces where he worked in parishes 1977-1985. He died in 1997. On Diocese of Las Cruces list 11/8/2018. It noted a report received in 2002 of an incident in 1984. On Santa Fe’s list 3/8/2019.
