In separate 1995 lawsuits, two brothers and another man claimed abuse as grade-schoolers in the 1950s by Abdon and other Christian Brothers, at St. Michael's in Santa Fe and at the College of Santa Fe. Last of lawsuits settled in 10/1996. A woman filed suit in 1995 alleging abuse by Br. Abdon at St. Michael's. Trained at the Juniorate in Las Vegas, NM and De La Salle Novitiate in Lafayette, LA. Took the habit in 1936; final profession 1945. Died 8/17/1977. The stadium at St. Michael's is called Brother Abdon Field, as late as 2022. There is also a street in Santa Fe named after Abdon. Name included on the Santa Fe the archdiocese's list of accused 9/12/2017. In a 2019 proof of claim related to the Archdiocese's bankruptcy, a man alleged sexual abuse by as a boy Abdon, Br. Tom McConnell, and Fr. Moschel; the man was a St. Michael's student 1973-1979. He said Abdon abused him for four years, beginning when he was an 11-year-old 7th grader. A new suit was filed in 4/2021.

Around five cases involving Archuleta were settled in the mid-1990s. Accused in a 1994 suit of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy daily during a 1971 car trip from NM to DC. Sent to St. Luke's, then Vianney Renewal Center for treatment. Suit settled in 12/1995. Archuleta said the plaintiff exaggerated. Removed from ministry. Found by a news outlet working as a priest in the Archdiocese of Mexico City in 2002. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list 9/12/2017. Suit filed in 10/2018 by a 38-year-old man claiming Archuleta raped him when he was a grade school student at Holy Cross in Santa Cruz NM in 1986-1987. Arrested 2/8/2019 on charges of the kidnapping and rape of a 6-year-old boy in 1986. Trial began 1/30/2020. Report to the D.A. in 2/2019 of abuse of an altar boy in the early 1990s. Acquitted in 2/2020.

Fr. Gerald A. Armstrong

Accused in a lawsuit filed in 11/2019 of sexually abusing, along with Rev. Alan Pilie, a girl who was in first through third grades, beginning in 1968 in Albuquerque. She attended a school near Immaculate Conception parish, where the priests were assigned. His accuser said she was often forced to drink alcohol before the abuse. The alleged abuse was first reported to the Jesuits in 2009, and was deemed not credible. Armstrong died 4/16/1996.

Fr. Paul M. Baca

A woman filed suit in 1/2000, alleging a sexual relationship with Baca for one year beginning in 1973 when she was 15. The suit also alleged that the relationship resumed in 1989 and lasted until the 1990s. She had a videotape and transcript wherein Baca admitted "repetitive sexual contact." He resigned. The suit was settled in 6/2000 for an undisclosed amount. The settlement also covered claims by another woman who claimed Baca had a two-year affair with her which ended in 2000. Baca died 2/8/2013. Pastor of Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community in 8/2022 when suspended due to an allegation that he sexually abused a boy, age 15, ten years prior. His accuser sued in 10/2022. Balizan had been assigned to the parish since 2012. Arrested in 6/2023. Pleaded not guilty. Subject of a two other lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse while at Santa Maria de la Paz. Allowed to await trial from home, on house arrest with electronic monitoring. Trial was set for 9/11/2023. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of credibly accused 2/19/2024. In 5/2024 Balizan agreed to plead guilty. Died by suicide 5/24/2024, hours before his scheduled plea hearing.

Seminarian Rudy Blea

A civil suit filed 6/10/1994 alleged abuse by Blea of at least one youth during counseling sessions 1969-1970. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese list of accused 9/12/2017, as a Benedictine. Blea sued the archdiocese in 1994 and again in 2018, claiming he was never a member of the Benedictines, nor employed by them or in residence with them at any time during his life, nor has he ever been a brother, monk, deacon or priest in any diocese of the Catholic church. He said he did give talks at a retreat in Albuquerque that his accuser attended. Per the Sante Fe archdiocese on its list 3/8/2019, Blea was in formation for the archdiocese 1969-1976. Blea said he became a seminarian in 1974.

Accused in a in 5/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy of sexually abusing a boy, ages 14-15, in 1987-1988. The abuse allegedly occurred at a hotel in Albuquerque NM while the two were attending a Catholic Youth Conference, and during a trip to two mission churches in Jemez Pueblo and Zuni Pueblo. "Br. Jim" was at the time a counselor at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Westminster CO, where the boy was a student, and was involved in youth ministry at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lakewood CO. Frank left the Franciscans in 1989. He is said to have been arrested in 12/1996 for child sexual abuse in Broomfield, and was again arrested when out on bond after another victim surfaced. Frank died 12/18/1997 at age 37, reportedly by suicide, at a campground in Park County CO.

Brother Alex

Brouseau and two other De La Salle Christian Brothers were accused in 1995 civil suits of independently molesting a young man over several years at St. Michael's school. The man's brother also claimed abuse by one of the Brothers. Brouseau later left the order and worked as a public high school principal. Case settled Fall 1996. At least six men alleged sexual abuse by Bruckner in the 1970s and 1980s when they were middle school students in Albuquerque. Several reported abuse to Archbishop Sheehan in 1995. Bruckner was investigated in 1995 and 2004 by the archdiocese's Review Board, but not removed. He underwent a third evaluation in 3/2005 after a sixth man claimed he was abused by the priest the 1970s. Bruckner was placed on leave and 'retired' in 3/2005, and lost all privileges in 9/2005. In 1/2008 he was still representing himself as a priest of the Santa Fe archdiocese. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of accused 9/12/2017. A 12/2018 lawsuit v the Boy Scouts names Bruckner and Rev. Robert Malloy. Per a 5/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, Bruckner, Fr. Malloy and Fr. Perrault sexually abused a boy, ages 9-16, from 1984-1991. Bruckner and Malloy were his Boy Scout leaders. The alleged victim said the priests plied him with drugs and alcohol and he became addicted. He said they also had him participate in child porn production and secret "child sex shows," including making him have sex with other children. He said he told the school principal, Fr. Menner, about the abuse, who the slammed him into a wall and punched him in the gut. Another 5/2019 proof a claim alleges that Bruckner, along with Fr. Malloy and Fr. Thomas Zotter, sexually abused an altar boy, beginning when he was age 16, from 1981-1987. He said that Bruckner and Malloy used him as a "sex slave" and that the two would sometimes drug him and tie him up before abusing him. They also are said to have plied him with alcohol. Further, the priests told him their sexual behavior with him would prepare him for the priesthood, and they forced compliance with threats. The two priests also allegedly abused this man's younger brother. Bruckner died 4/3/2020.

Burbach was accused of sexually abusing several members of a parish beginning in the 1960s. Affiliated with Pecos Benedictine Monastery. Two civil suits were filed in 1994. His name was included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of accused on 9/12/2017, name spelled 'Marr.' Br. Maur Burbach's name was included on the St. Benedict Abbey of Benet Lake WI list on 1/24/2023. Noted to have made vows in 1960, abused in NM in the 1960s, to have been dismissed from religious life in 1970 and to have died in 2019. (There was a Rev. Maur Burbach, O.S.B. who was ordained in 1940 died in 1982.)

A man and woman filed separate lawsuits in mid-2013 alleging sexual abuse by Cassidy, who worked in parishes in Albuquerque, Taos and Mora. The suits were reportedly settled at some point before 5/2014. Another man filed suit in 5/2014 alleging abuse by Cassidy at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in northwest Albuquerque in the late 1960s. The plaintiff says he was sexually abused between 50-80 times as a 10-year-old boy. In a suit filed in 11/2014, Cassidy was accused of molesting an 8- to 10-year-old girl in the late 1960s, on a church bus while he was driving and she was in his lap. The Archdiocese knew of allegations against Cassidy by 1993 but never made them public. He died in 1994. Included on the Archdiocese's list of accused 9/12/2017. Per a 2019 proof of claim in the Archdiocese's bankruptcy, Cassidy sexually abused an 8-year-old girl in 1965, on the church bus and in a confessional. She reported the abuse to the Archdiocese in 1993. In another 2019 proof of claim, Cassidy is accused of sexually abusing a girl, ages 7-9, during 1965-1966, on the church bus and in the parish rectory basement. Cassidy allegedly would choose one girl each day to sit on his lap while he drove the bus. This claimant said that he would digitally penetrate her and play with her breasts, pinning her down in his lap with one arm.

Chavez allegedly would ply the boy with alcohol. Transferred to the Diocese of Las Cruces where he worked in parishes 1977-1985. Died in 1997. Chavez was accused in a lawsuit in 7/2025 of sexually abusing an altar boy, ages 9-16, from 1984 until his retirement 1990. Priest of the Burlington VT diocese. In a civil suit filed in 1994 Courcy and Rev. Joseph Anthony Gallegos were accused of sexually abusing an altar boy in NM, after Courcy's first trip to the Servants of the Paraclete treatment facility in Jemez Springs. He was sent to the Paracletes in 1967 and 1969. His faculties were removed in 2/1993 when assigned in NYC. Laicized in 6/2009. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese list 9/12/2017. Accused in a 11/2017 lawsuit, which settled in 2018, against the Paracletes of raping a 16-year-old boy in the rectory of St. Anthony's in Questa during an overnight in in 1969, after plying the boy with alcohol. Accused in a 5/2019 lawsuit against the Paracletes of sexually abusing two boys during an overnight the rectory of St. Anthony's in 1969. One of the accusers claimed he was raped. Per the suit, Courcy was sent by the Paracletes to St. Anthony's as a supply priest four days after his arrival for treatment. Included on the Burlington diocese's list 8/22/2019. A lawsuit filed in 5/2021 claims abuse of a boy in VT in 1978, starting when the boy was age 5 or 6.

In his victim's statement for the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy proof of claims, a man said that when he was in 7th grade at St. Peter's in Roswell and Coyle was assigned to St. Francis Cathedral 1968-1969, the priest sexually abused him, including rape, on four occasions. This accuser also said that he was abused by a Brother Thomas Falls, Brother John and Fr. Donald Starkey and that all of the abuse occurred when he was ages 12-14. Per another proof of claims, filed in 5/2019, Coyle sexually abused a boy 1966-1969, when the boy was ages 11-13. Coyle was the boy's Boy Scouts troop leader. The abuse allegedly included fondling and attempted rape as well as physical assault, and occurred on camping trips, on road trips, including to recruit seminarians, and in Finbar's office at St. Francis Cathedral.

Deacon Pete Santistevan

Teacher; school principal; superintendent of schools in Bernanlillo NM. Retired in 1981. Ordained for the permanent diaconate in 1987. Assigned to Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo Parish until 1996. Accused in a proof of claim form filed in 5/2019 of sexually abusing a girl, ages 3-5, from 1983 to 1985, and again when she was ages 7-9, 1987 through 1989. Santistevan often babysat the girl. The claimant said that Santistevan did not have access to her between 1985 and 1987 because she was then living with her mother in another town. The abuse allegedly resumed after she moved back to Bernalillo to live with her father. She suspects that her sister was also abused. Further, she said that in 2011 a man told her that Sanstistevan abused him when he was young; the man died by suicide in 2013. Santistevan died in 2016.

Worked at a boys' school run by the state and then ran a boys' ranch operated by the Santa Fe Archdiocese. The state of NM knew of allegations in 1971. Accused of sexually abusing and beating residents. The church ranch was closed after one boy died. At least one civil suit was filed in 1994 by two men. Archbishop Sanchez received complaints in 1976; sent another priest to investigate. Ranch closed shortly thereafter; Donelan remained a priest until his death in 1994. Lawsuit filed in 5/2017 by a man alleging abuse by Donelan and Rev. Laurier Labreche in the late 1980s, when the man was an 11- to 13-year-old altar boy at Church of the Ascension in Albuquerque. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of accused on 9/12/2017.

Per a 6/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, Ortega y Ortiz sexually harrassed and abused a teenage boy, ages 17-19, from 2013 to 2016. The claimant, who was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, alleges that Ortega y Ortiz would twist his nipples, slap his butt, kiss him on the lips, and hug him while pushing his genital area against him. Ortega y Ortiz also, while driving, allegedly would grab and squeeze the claimant's penis, and would hold his hand and kiss it, saying "I love you hito." The abuse allegedly occurred over 100 times, and the claimant said "there wasn't a time he would keep his hands off me." Ortiz y Ortega was accused in 10/2013 by the Cathedral's recently fired music director of "crude and inappropriate behavior" and was unable "to keep his hands to himself." Ortega y Ortiz was cleared by the Archdiocese after several weeks, but was told to be cautious around youth. In 12/2018 he stepped down from his position as rector of the Cathedral, citing "personal challenges." He had been absent for months without explanation to his parishioners. In 1/2024 Ortega y Ortiz was appointed acting judicial vicar of the Tribunal, and to assist a deacon in prison ministry.

Barry Finbar Coyle, Brother Thomas and Brother John, and that all of the abuse occurred when he was ages 12-14.

Per a 5/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, Rodriguez sexually abused an altar boy, ages 13-15, at St. Thomas Parish in Abiqui 1990-1991. The claimant alleged that another St. Thomas priest, Fr. Roger Martinez, abused him when he was ages 9-13. Rodriguez, who was Martinez's replacement, would allegedly come up from behind him after the boy's choir practice, say he was giving the boy a singing lesson, then would reach into his pants and grab and squeeze the boy's genitals. Further, he would push his body into the boy's and grind forcefully on his back. The claimant said that Rodriguez was almost always drunk, and was violent and mean. He died 2/22/1996 in his native Puerto Rico.

Per a 5/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, Zotter sexually abused a boy, ages 16-17, many times from 1981-1982. The claimant also alleged abuse by Fr. Ronald Bruckner and Fr. Robert Malloy, beginning in 1982. The abuse allegedly occurred during camping trips, on Kirtland Airforce Base, at Assumption Parish (where Bruckner and Malloy were assigned), and other places. Zotter was introduced to the boy by Bruckner, through Assumption Parish's youth groups.

Gallagher was a prison chaplain and parish priest in PA early in his priesthood. Per the Official Catholic Directory, Edward M. Gallagher was a Philadelphia priest on leave of absence at least 1930-1948. By 1949 he was indexed as a Sante Fe priest assigned to a Trappist Monastery in Dubuque IA, and in 1952 he was shown as at St. Francis Home in Dubuque. He worked in the Santa Fe archdiocese from 1953 until his death in 1969. He was chaplain for 15 years at St. Anthony's Boys Home in Albuquerque. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/2020 of sexually abusing a boy who resided at the Home. The abuse included rape. The plaintiff, in his late 60s, said that he and other boys were sexually and physically abused by the chaplain, visiting priests and Sisters of St. Francis, who ran the Home. He said he was abused from the age of 6 until he escaped at age 13, and that he was Gallagher's "captive sex toy." Gallagher's name is included on the Archdiocese of Santa Fe's list of accused in 10/2020. (The list shows him as an OFM Franciscan, but other sources do not show that he was a member of the Order.)

A man filed suit in 5/2014 against the Santa Fe archdiocese, claiming he was raped by Griego at age 17 in 1986; he had gone to Griego for guidance about possibly becoming a priest and there were teenage boys with Griego in the rectory, drinking. Accused in a 12/17/2015 suit of the abuse of a boy, age 14-18, at parishes in Las Vegas, NM and Albuquerque 1975-1979. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list 9/12/2017. He is named in a number of proofs of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy. A 5/2019 claim alleges Griego abused an altar boy, ages 11-12, on multiple occasions 1968-1969. The claimant said he twice told a Monsignor as a child about the abuse, who told him not to tell anyone outside of the priesthood. Another 5/2019 claim alleges abuse of a boy, ages 8-9, in 1977-1978; the boy was in Griego's catechism class, preparing for First Communion. A claim in 6/2019 details allegations that in 1973-1974 Griego repeatedly abused an 8-year-old boy, also a student in a pre First Communion class. The claimant said Griego also abused other children in the class. Another claim alleges abuse of a boy from his 1st through 5th grades, 1986-1990. As with previous claims, the boy was a catechism student and the abuse is described as violent. Alcohol was also involved.

From India. Arrived in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in 1976 after having resided at Via Coeli in Jemez Springs, NM. Had been in ministry at least late 1970-early 1971 in the Diocese of Providence RI. Accused in legal documents filed in the Santa Fe Archdiocese's bankruptcy proceedings of sexually abusing two sisters. A document filed in 5/2019 reports that Inchody sexually abused one of the girls, age 12, multiple times during 1976-1977, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish in Albuquerque. The girl told her parents about the abuse after she "had a nervous breakdown." Inchody soon left the parish. He left the archdiocese in 1978 and was dismissed from the order in 1980 after marrying. He had a daughter, later divorced. The other sister reported in a document filed 6/4/2019, that Inchody sexually abused her at age 13 in the Spring of 1977, while she was hospitalized for two weeks due to a head injury from a bicycle accident. She was a Holy Rosary student. The head injury affected her memory; she recalled only being terrified of Inchody after the hospitalization, and that she subsequently had symptoms of a pregnancy which lead to her ending up in a hospital Emergency Room. She heard the doctor ask her father if she could be pregnant. One of the girls in the family wrote in an affidavit in 5/2019 that Inchody was "overly friendly with children," that he would often take children to the back of the church and that none of them, when she asked, wanted to talk about it. Inchody died 1/14/1998.

In another 5/2019 proof of claim, a man alleges that Labreche sexually assaulted him at age 19 in Fall 1967, a few months after his mother died, during an overnight at an Albuquerque motel. Maguire was born 5/19/1898 in Lexington MA; trained at St Meinrad Seminary IN; ordained in Boston by Cardinal O'Connell on 5/25/1934. Reportedly taught at minor seminary for a year before working until 1960 in parishes in the Santa Fe archdiocese, where he was also a Consultor and chaplain of the NM Senate. Granted the title monsignor in 1950. After working as pastor at Ranchos de Taos, where he was later accused of abuse, he was on sick leave before his next parish assignment at Our Lady of the Assumption in Albuquerque. Listed in the Official Catholic Directory 1960-1976 as a Santa Fe priest 'On sick leave' but reclassified as 'retired' when he died on 10/10/1976. An obituary in the Boston Globe revealed he had been assigned to St. Brigid in Lexington MA, though never indexed or listed as there in the Directory. Not included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's lists of accused.

Per a 2002 article, Malloy had been writing anonymous, sexually explicit notes to teenage boys at St. Pius High School, offering to pay them for their semen. Served as a police chaplain until 1998. Pastor of a number of archdiocesan parishes; started 'Pilgrimage for Vocations' in 1973, which were week-long walks for youth through northern NM, with sleepovers at parishes along the way. O'Brien died in 1/1993 at age 48 (possibly of AIDS, per plaintiff's attorney). In 2012 a man told the Archdiocese that he had been sexually abused by O'Brien at age 10-11 in the mid-1980s, when O'Brien was assigned to St. Anthony in Questa. The Archdiocese provided the man counseling for several months but it ceased when he retained an attorney. He filed a civil lawsuit 4/2/2013. Three more men filed suits a few weeks later, and six more shortly thereafter. By 12/2015 O'Brien was named as a perpetrator of sexual abuse of NM boys in the 1970s-1980s in 17 lawsuits, at least 9 of which had been settled. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list 9/12/2017. In a 5/2019 proof of claim form in the Archdiocese's bankruptcy, a man wrote that he was sexually abused by O'Brien 1983-1985, beginning when he was age 8 and a St. Gertrude's altar boy in Mora NM, and that O'Brien passed him on to Fr. Gregory Tipton and a Deacon Karl, who abused him 1985-1987. Another alleged abuse, including rape, as an altar boy by O'Brien 1982-1984, at ages 8-10. A woman claimed in 6/2019 that O'Brien and another priests abused her older brothers who, in turn, abused her. Another man in 6/2019 claimed abuse, including rape, 1975-1978, ages 12-15. He was a Taos altar boy involved with the pilgrimages. Another claimed abuse as a boy 1976-1977, ages 14-15. A 11/2019 claim alleges the sexual abuse of a boy ages 11-16, 1971-1977. The claimant says he was one of the "elite altar boys" who traveled with O'Brien and that Archbishop Sanchez knew of the abuse. He said his brother and cousins were also abused by O'Brien, and that there were many suicides among the altar boys from the 1970s.

From Spain. Appears to have been ordained for the Carmelites. Reportedly arrived in OK "several years" prior to 1927, and in 1927 was "not long ordained." He was at that time "attending the Mexicans of Dallas." Assigned by 1929 in OK, to San Antonio TX around 1932, then to Santa Fe NM in 1934. The Official Catholic Directory indicates that he was no longer a Carmelite when he arrived in Santa Fe. A man filed suit in 6/1995, claiming he was sexually abused at age 13 by Peris in Anton Chico, NM at San José parish. Peris was also responsible for missions in Dilia, Colonias, Pintada, Milagro, Dahlia, Plaza de Arriba, and Tecolotito. The suit said the plaintiff lived at the parish hall for several months so that he could ride the bus to school. Peris also lived at the parish hall and allegedly abused the plaintiff for several months in the Fall of 1957. Peris reportedly returned to Spain shortly after the abuse and in 1995 was believed to be dead. Included on the Archdiocese's list 9/12/2017.

Named in at least one suit filed in 8/2014. A man who filed suit in 8/2014 against the Santa Fe Archdiocese said Perrault abused him dozens of times beginning in 1991, when he was an altar boy, age 10, in Albuquerque. Perrault was found in 4/2016 working in Morocco, at American Language Center in Tangier; he had been living there off and on for 30 years. Resigned in 5/2016, the school notified police. A suit was filed 8/4/2016 claiming abuse of a NM boy 1975-1977. Another suit was filed in 12/2016. One plaintiff said there were 38 victims. Judgment of $16M in 2/2017. Included on the Santa Fe list 9/12/2017. Arrested by the FBI in 9/2018, returned to NM. Pleaded not guilty to charges of abuse of an 11-year-old boy while chaplain at Kirtland AF Base 1991-1992. In a 6/2019 proof of claim form in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, the alleged victim said she was summoned from class and led to a rectory or parish basement, where she was sexually abused, including rape. Some of the abuse allegedly took place in a mountain cabin. Further, she said the priests sometimes forced her to drink alcohol before the abuse. The Jesuits were first informed of the claims in 2009, which they deemed not credible.

Accused in a suit filed 12/17/2015 of abusing various boys, one 1975-1979, beginning when the boy was age 9 and Rutowski was assigned to St. Jude Thaddeus in Albuquerque. Sanchez also had extensive knowledge of the sexual abuse by priests in the Archdiocese and rarely did anything to punish or remove them. He resigned in 1993 and lived in Minnesota. He died 1/20/2012.

Fr. Clarence C. Schoeppner

Monsignor. Schoeppner became vice-chancellor of the archdiocese immediately after ordination, and later chancellor. Accused in a 1994 lawsuit of nonconsensual sexual acts and physical abuse of a girl in 1967, as part of 'cleaning ritual' using holy water. The girl and her sister lived at St. Anthony's Boys School, an orphanage run by the Poor Sisters of St. Francis Seraph of the Perpetual Adoration. Schoeppner retired in 1980 and died in 1991. His name is included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of credibly accused 9/12/2017.

Died in 1989 in Albuquerque NM. From Springfield MA. Per his obituary, Smith taught at St. Gaul Parish school in Chicago after "graduation" from Christ the King Seminary near Buffalo NY. He was actually expelled in 1959 from Christ the King Seminary for molesting three children. He finished his seminary training at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio TX and was ordained in 1969 for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. At least six civil lawsuits were filed in 1993-1994 against Smith's estate. Smith apparently abused a fellow high school seminarian in 1946. After ordination, Smith molested children at various parishes in NM in the 1970s and 1980s. Sent for treatment on at least three occasions. Included 9/12/2017 on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list of accused. Per a 5/2019 proof of claim in the Santa Fe archdiocese's bankruptcy, Smith sexually abused an altar boy, age 13, in summer 1972. Smith was a family friend. The abuse allegedly occurred one night at a hotel in Santa Fe during a trip that Smith said was to celebrate the boy's graduation from middle school. Smith plied the boy with alcohol and pornography.

The girl was a sophomore at the school and Sr. Suzy was in administration. Sr. Suzy is said to have grabbed the girl's breast on two occasions. The nun allegedly said "Go tell, nobody will believe you, plus you're not coming back next year, nobody will believe you over a nun of God!" (Order and last name not known - 10 Sisters of Charity, 1 Dominicans sister, and 1 Sister of St. Joseph were assigned to the school 1971-1972, per the Official Catholic Directory.)

Member of the MA-based Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary. Caught three times in 1964 by Washington DC police having sex with boys before he was sent to NM for treatment. Lived at Via Coeli Center, allowed to work in parishes. Later assigned full-time as a parish priest. A man filed suit in 10/2011 against the Santa Fe Archdiocese and Servants of the Paraclete, claiming abuse by Weisenborn for three years in the 1960s while at St. Francis Xavier in Albuquerque. Settled in 11/2012. In residence at a parish per the 1989 Catholic Directory. Died in 1991. New lawsuit filed in 5/2015 in Albuquerque alleging abuse of a boy repeatedly at St. Francis Xavier, beginning in 1968. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese's list 9/12/2017.

Died 6/13/1986. Named publicly as accused by the Santa Fe archdiocese on its list 9/12/2017. Per a 5/2019 proof of claim form in the archdiocese's bankruptcy, Wilkinson sexually abused a boy 1974-1978, beginning when the boy was ages 2 or 3 and ending when he started kindergarten. The boy lived with his grandparents next to Sacred Heart Parish in Espanola, where Wilkinson was assigned, and were described as very good friends of Wilkinson. The priest allegedly abused the boy frequently - any time he could get him alone. The abuse is said to have included rape.
