Fr. John Peris
A man filed suit in 6/1995, claiming he was abused at age 13 by Peris in Anton Chico, NM at San José parish. Peris was also responsible for missions in Dilia, Colonias, Pintada, Milagro, Dahlia, Plaza de Arriba, and Tecolotito. The suit said the plaintiff lived at the parish hall for several months so that he could ride the bus to school. Peris also lived at the parish hall and allegedly abused the plaintiff for several months in the Fall of 1957. Peris reportedly returned to Spain shortly after the abuse and is believed to be dead. Included on the archdiocese’s list 9/12/2017.
