From NY. Trained as Jesuit. Ordained for Gallup. Transferred to Santa Fe. Archdiocese became aware of behavior and sent him to counseling several times; each time would transfer him to new parish. Kirsch allegedly sexually abused a girl at St. Thomas Apostle in Abiquiu NM beginning when she was age 15 in 1973-77, leading to pregnancy and an abortion. She filed a civil suit in 1991. He admitted sex but said she was 19 by then. Suit dismissed in 1993 on SOL; dismissal upheld by NM Court of Appeals. Died 11/3/05. Included on Santa Fe archdiocese list of accused 9/12/17. On Las Cruces diocese’s list 6/24/19, where he worked 1965-67.
