Fr. Vincent Paul Cleary
Named publicly in 9/2019 by the diocese as credibly accused of abuse of two minors, more than 50 years prior. Cleary was pastor of Our Lady of Peace in Stratford 1963-1989. He died in 1989. (Not to be mistaken for Bridgeport priest Vincent P. Cleary in the diocese ordained in 1939 and who died in 1965.) Included on the diocese’s list updated 1/22/2020. Per a 2019 report commissioned by the diocese, there were two victims, both girls ages 8-10, of abuse 1945-1954.
