Fr. Manus Daly

From Ireland. Removed from active ministry in 3/2002 due to past allegations that he sexually abused a student in the 1970s at St. Thomas Aquinas minor seminary. Returned to Ireland.The former student said that Daly, dean of students, tried to seduce him once during a trip to Belleville. His accuser complained to the Diocese in 1996 about Daly, Fr. John Fischer, and (later Bishop) Anthony J. O’Connell. The Diocese paid a $125K settlement to the man in 1996. Included on the Diocese’s list 11/8/2018.
