Fr. Stephen F. Dawber
Dawber and two other Jesuits at Boston College High School were accused of molesting several students in the 1970s. He is also alleged to have arranged to have one of the other Jesuits, James Talbot, transferred with him to Cheverus High in Maine where Talbot abused again. Dawber is not known to have abused at Cheverus before returning to Boston College High. He was suspended in 3/2002 from his position at the school. Died 4/29/2010. Included in 1/2019 on the Northeast Province Jesuits’ list of credibly accused. On the Fall River diocese’s list in 1/2021, where he worked at Bishop Connolly High School 1985-1990.
