From the diocese of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. Restricted from all ministry in Detroit in 2004 pending an investigation of allegations that he sexually abused a 7-year-old boy. Arrested in 8/04 and arraigned on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Acquitted by jury trial in 1/05 but still barred from duties while archdiocese continued internal investigation. Apparently returned to his home diocese in Mexico. On the Detroit archdiocese’s list 6/10/19, which notes that de Alba Campos was briefly an extern priest there, then transferred out.
