Convicted in 1990 of molesting a 13-year-old girl 1986-88. Given 15-year suspended sentence and 5 years probation. Civil suit filed in 1/92; settled out of court in 9/93. Archdiocese knew of his history of deviant sexual behavior. In 1987 (after he yelled obscenities and exposed himself to a woman), the Capuchins transferred him to Pittsburgh. Seminary officials knew of use of church money for x-rated movies and porn before ordination. Left priesthood in 1988 and married. Dismissed from clerical state 12/29/92. Became licensed social worker, began work with the V.A. in 1996. Included on the Baltimore archdiocese’s 2002 list of accused religious priests and brothers.
