Resigned in 1/02. Admitted in 3/02 to inappropriate sexual contact in the late 1970s with an 8-year-old boy, continuing for 5 years. Sent to treatment. DA’s office did not prosecute. In 2/04 another man alleged abuse at age 5 once in 1987. Reported to the diocese 11/03. Police did not prosecute, citing unusual circumstances that required corroboration to prove the case. Possibly working in secular job in Hollywood, FL as of 1/12. Eight known accusers as of 5/19. Criminal charges filed 5/23/19 related to allegations of sexual abuse over 5 years of a boy in Burton, beginning when the boy was age 5 or 6 in 1995. Charged by A.G. in 9/19 with sexual assault in 1987 of 5-year-old boy. On diocese’s list 9/27/19. Laicization pending. Trial announced in 2/20.
