Multiple accusers. Accused of abuse in 1979. Transferred. Accused of abuse of an 11-year-old boy for six years. Two civil suits filed in 1993; one was dismissed, one settled in 1998. Termed Joliet diocese’s most notorious abuser. Accused of abuse in Lombard, Lockport and Glen Ellyn. Removed from ministry in 1992. No criminal charges filed. Left priesthood in the 1990s and later married. Removed from position as a counselor in St. Louis in 2002 pending investigation. Included in 4/2006 on the diocese’s list of credibly accused. Named in new suits filed by a man in 6/2012 and by another man in 6/2013. Diocese agreed to release of personnel files in 3/2013 as part of a settlement in Rudofski v Joliet & Bennett. Files released 4/30/2014. Named in a $4.137 million settlement involving five priests in 4/2015. Laicized in 2022. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes 13 “reported survivors.”
