Spent priesthood in AK. Removed from parish in Bethel, AK and sent for evaluation after a woman in her 60s said he made improper advances toward her. Moved to Jesuits’ Regis Community in Spokane, WA. Named in 11/07 settlement between Jesuits and 110 plaintiffs. In 1/09, 43 plaintiffs in AK sued order and Seattle U. Pres. Rev. S. Sundborg, alleging Sundborg knew about abuse by Hargreaves and others but no action. Two or more pending claims shown in bankruptcy reorganization documents for the Fairbanks diocese 1/25/10. Died 02/22/13. On Jesuits West Province list 12/7/18. It notes claims in 2008 and 2009 of sexual abuse of a minor 1958-64, 1965-66, 1967-69, 1974, 1985 and 1990-92. Allegedly raped boys as young as age 5. The Fairbanks diocese’s list of perpetrators in 2/20 shows there were 10 victims.
