Fr. Thomas M. Harkins
Named in a 1994 RICO civil suit filed in Camden. Allegation of abuse of girl in 1979-1980. Sent for therapy. Second allegation. Both settled for $195K. Church did not report allegation to police per state law. Sent for treatment on other occasions. Active until 2002 when permanently removed. A woman filed suit 5/16/2012 alleging abuse on multiple occasions in 1980 and 1981 at St. Anthony of Padua in Hammonton. In 2012 held security post at Philadelphia International Airport. Suit settled 6/27/2014 under undisclosed terms. Added to Diocese of Gallup’s list 4/2019; worked in a parish there 10/1981-1/1982. On Camden diocese’s list 2/13/2019. Died 2/8/2020.
