Fr. Bernard A. Harris

“Father Harry.” Accused in a 1/06 lawsuit of raping 4 of 8 siblings 1968-72 in OR. (Brother of Rev. James Harris, also accused of abusing same family.) Harris was incardinated in the Helena MT at time of alleged abuse, teaching at Loyola HS in Missoula and working at St. Francis Xavier parish there. He died 9/7/72. In 3/11 20 claims were settled by the Jesuits. Named as abuser of at least one child at St. Ignatius Mission in MT in 9/11 civil suit. Name included on Seattle archdiocese’s list 1/15/16. Worked at Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma 1949-52. On the Jesuit West Province list 12/7/18. It notes reports in 1993, 2006 and 2009 of abuse 1958-62, 1962-66, 1965-69 and 1971-72.
