Fr. Kenneth C. Hasselbach
Permanently removed in 1994 after accusations he abused two boys some 20 years prior. Allegations surfaced shortly after Hasselbach was sent for therapy because another priest had found pornography in his room. He admitted abusing a 12-year-old youth in 1974 but said the youth’s version was exaggerated and he thought the youth was older than 12 or 13. Arrested in 1/09 in Ft. Lauderdale FL for possession of internet child pornography. Pleaded guilty; sentenced in 1/10 to two years in prison. Included on the diocese’s list of accused in 3/21.
