Br. Regis Howitz
Accused along with Rev. Charles Newman of sexually abusing a teen boy in the mid-1990s. Newman was principal of Archbishop Ryan High School and Howitz was a maintenance worker at the school. Newman allegedly plied the boy with drugs and alcohol Allegations against both men reportedly deemed credible by the archdiocese and Franciscans. Both ordered to live a life of prayer and penance. The boy died of a drug overdose at age 28 in 2006.
