Fr. Gary L. Jacobson
Several complaints of the sexual abuse of girls by Jacobson were made to the Archbishop or the Archdiocese in the 1980s and 1990s. There are three known alleged victims of abuse occurring in 1965, the late 1970s, and in 1987. Sent to treatment in 1987. There were also complaints about his behavior with young women; in 1978 he was removed from a parish he pastored due to incident(s) with a woman. Jacobson took “medical” retirement in 1997. In 2002 a woman filed suit in Arizona alleging abuse in Oregon. Jacobson was still assisting at parishes in 2002 and had recently been cautioned about his behavior with young girls. He died 2/20/2020.
