Fr. Ferdinand Lloyd Kaiser
Following a recent court order, on 12/16/2013 Bishop Quinn released a list of 13 names of priests who had credible allegations against them of abuse involving minors. Kaiser’s inclusion on this list is the first public notice that he had been accused of abuse. Voluntarily resigned in 3/1968. Died 1/3/1973. The Diocese updated its list 6/23/1914 with additional information. Criminally charged in 5/1968 with the sexual abuse of a minor boy (sodomy). Pleaded guilty the same month and was sentenced 7/11/1968. In 1/1993, the Diocese received allegations that he abused a boy and a girl after his 1968 resignation. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese’s list 5/19/2021, where he spent time at Via Coeli in Jemez Springs, Las Vegas, Alamogordo, Santa Fe, and Corrales.
