Br. John J. Keegan
Professed vows in 1945. Worked in Dayton OH, Hamilton OH, Pittsburgh PA and Brooklyn NY. Left the Order in 1962. Died in 2007. In 4/2014 a man alleged abuse as a minor by Keegan at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh 1957-1961. After the Pittsburgh diocese sought information on other possible victims, two brothers came forward. Diocese said it knew nothing of the allegations until 2014. Head of the Marianists apologized in writing to the diocese and students. By 5/2014 six men had reported sexual abuse by Keegan as minors at North Catholic during 1956-1961. Included on the Marianists’ 6/24/2020 list of accused.
