Placed on leave in 1991 and sent for treatment after allegations of abuse of young boys. Paid $20K in 1994 to settle sexual abuse charge. Removed from public ministry in 2002. Named in at least three suits filed in 2003 and 2004. One plaintiff was included in a 2004 settlement with the Diocese. Laicization announced 12/01/2006. One claim was settled as part of a $4.5M settlement in 11/2008. Reportedly died 11/2/2018. Included on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused.
