Following a recent court order, on 12/16/2013 Bishop Quinn released a list of 13 names of priests who had credible allegations against them of abuse involving minors. Krough’s inclusion on this list is the first public notice that he had been accused of abuse. The Diocese updated the list 6/23/2014 with additional information. Ministerial privileges indefinitely suspended in 6/2002 and he left active ministry. The Diocese reports he was confronted in 1993 with a naked picture of a 16-year-old boy taken in about 1978. Sent to St. Luke Institute for treatment and reinstated. Removed by the Diocese again in 1997 after an allegation of abuse 1969-1971. Sent again to St. Luke’s. Assigned as chaplain for the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in 1999. Ministerial privileges indefinitely suspended in 6/2002. Left active ministry after another allegation involving an adult male. Last known to be living in Barron WI. Died 10/12/2014. Laicization had been pending.
