Fr. Gustave R. Krumm
“Gus.” Accused as a seminarian in 1981 of the sexual abuse of a boy in 1980 at a minor seminary in Los Angeles. The Franciscans said the allegation was not credible. Ordained. Worked in the Dioceses of Reno and Orange and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The earlier allegation was deemed credible in 1993 (not by the Order). Settlement in 1995. Transferred to Portland OR in 1998. Accused in 2002 of more abuse in 1980. Admitted to ‘indiscretions’ in the 1970s-1980s. Moved to Sacramento; removed in 2003. Settlement in 3/2006. New suit in 6/2009. The Diocese of Orange settled with two brothers in 8/2011. A jury found for the Order in 10/2011. Personnel file released in 5/2012. Laicized in 2/2006. Included on the Las Vegas diocese’s list 4/12/2019. On the Santa Barbara Province Franciscans list 5/31/2019. In 10/2024 appears to be a licensed addictions counselor in Sacramento.
