Retired in 2008. Admitted in 10/2018 to fondling a boy, age 16, in 1985. The boy informed police and Leclercq and then vicar general Myers were called to the station. There was no action and Leclercq was transferred to a new assignment. Admitted to also abusing another boy. Removed in 11/2018 from public ministry. On diocese’s list in 12/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report. It shows three reported allegations, including that  that Leclercq and Fr. William Harbert sexually abused a high school freshman boy in 1964.
