Accused in a 2/2023 lawsuit of plying a teenage boy with alcohol and sexually abusing him in a hotel room in Quebec in the early 1990s. Levasseur had taken the boy to Quebec for a religious event. He was assigned at the time to St. Luce in Frenchville and was head of the diocese’s Christian Life Center. He died in 2009. His accuser first came forward to the diocese in 2017.
