“Marcellus.” Named publicly as accused by the Franciscans’ Santa Barbara Province on its list 5/31/2019. It notes an allegation reported in 2007 of the sexual abuse of a minor 1943-1944. Assigned at the time to St. Mary’s in Phoenix, AZ. Died in 1985. First assignment was in San Diego in 1941. Included on the Oakland diocese’s list in 2019. On the Las Cruces diocese’s list (misspelled Leining) 6/24/2019, where he worked 1951-1953, 1962-1964, 1979-1985 Included in 8/2021 on the Diocese of Fresno’s list, where he was assigned in 1970. Was in Ensenada, Mexico 1968-1969. Also on the Diocese of Tucson’s list of credibly accused.
