Fr. Emmet Malone
Accused in a 2004 lawsuit of molesting an 11-year-old boy in the early 1950s, under the guise of teaching the boy how to pray. The Franciscans stated that “we believe something did happen,” and the suit was settled. Malone also worked at Corpus Christi parish and school in the Chicago, IL archdiocese. On the San Antonio archdiocese’s list 1/21/2019. It notes an allegation received in 2001 of abuse in the 1950s of a boy and his brother. Died 6/19/1994. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report. Included on the Franciscans’ Our Lady of Guadalupe Province list of credibly accused as of 1/2024. Member of the Sacred Heart Province.
