Fr. Fernando L. Manzo
From Guadalajara, Mexico. Pastor of San Felipe De Jesus Parish in Nogales, AZ when placed on leave in 12/2003 after he was informed of allegations that he sexually abusing his nephew for four years, beginning when the boy was age 8. Some of the abuse is alleged to have occurred at San Felipe De Jesus. Fled, likely to Guadalajara. Police investigated. Tucson police determined that several youths alleged abuse by Manzo during the 1990s, and that the Diocese responded by moving him to other parishes. The nephew filed a civil lawsuit in 12/2004. Manzo was removed from the priesthood in 2010. Included on the Tucson diocese’s list of credibly accused.
