Accused in 2006 for rape of a girl 1967-1970. He would get drunk at the family’s home and they would let him sleep it off in the little girl’s bed. Indicted in 4/06. Left Boston in 1970 to serve as military chaplain; still part of the archdiocese. Retired from military and settled in FL. Pleaded guilty in 5/06. Sentenced to lifetime probation, to be served in FL. Laicization pending per Boston archdiocese’s list in 8/11. Died in 2013. On Archdiocese of Mobile AL list 12/6/18. Assigned there to St. Benedict School in Elberta at some point. First name misspelled “Gerald.”
