Monsignor. Administrator of Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charities for thirty years. Had also been Diocesan Youth Director. In 2019 a man, age 75, went public with claims that McPherson sexually abused him beginning on his 8th birthday in 1951, at St. Joseph’s Male Orphan Asylum in Lackawanna. The man said he tried to report the abuse in 1993 and 2013 and again in 5/18. He flied suit in 2/20 under the NY Child Victims Act. Another man also sued in 2/20, claiming McPherson plied him with alcohol and molested him 1966-67 when he was ages 14-15 and living at a Baker Hall, which was a residential school for troubled youth. McPherson died in 11/26/82 at age 73.
