Fr. John B. Mea
Died 8/17/1984. Accused in a 2003 civil lawsuit of raping an altar boy in the early 1960s. The plaintiff was offered a small financial settlement in 2002, which he refused. The Diocese said Mea was not assigned to the parish in question at the time of the alleged abuse. In 8/2003 a judge dismissed the lawsuit as being barred by the statute of limitations, and that a discrepancy in the dates of abuse did not help. This was only known allegation against Mea.
