Fr. Elden Joseph Miller
Retired 7/03. Removed from public ministry 12/18/06. Died in 7/26/08. Name released in 8/18 by Bishop Rhoades as accused. In 2015 a 60-year-old woman told the diocese Miller sexually abused her over a 5-year period in the 1960s, beginning when she was age 6. Her grandmother was a housekeeper in the the St. Joseph rectory in Mishawaka. Per the diocese, there are credible allegations against Miller from three other people. On diocese’s 9/18/18 list, noting two credible allegations. The diocese’s updated list in 9/21 shows four credible allegations.
