Fr. Michael Stephen Nocita
Accused of abuse of three minors 1975-1985, per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report. Named in at least one lawsuit. An allegation of abuse 1980-1982 was reported to police in 1988. Removed in 1991. Faculties revoked in 2000. Claims were included in a $660M L.A. settlement in 7/2007. Accused in a 9/2012 suit of the sexual abuse of a girl in 1980 at St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs. She claimed that counseling paid for by the Church prevented her from filing suit in 2003. Nocita was laicized in 2006. Personnel file released in 1/2013. Claims included in a 2/18/2014 $13M settlement.
